邓建新，男，1982年5月生，教授，博士生导师。担任《Research in Plant Disease》杂志副编辑；中国植物病理学会教学专业委员会委员；湖北省植物病理学会副秘书长；第一批入选长江大学“菁英人才”。担任《Plant Disease》，《Canadian Journal of Plant Pathology》等10余个杂志的审稿人。近五年累计发表科研论文40余篇，其中SCI论文30余篇。
■ 教育及工作背景
2006年6月本科毕业于吉林农业大学中药学专业，获学士学位；2009年2月硕士毕业于韩国忠南大学植物病理学与细胞工程专业，获硕士学位；2013年6月博士毕业于韩国忠南大学植物病理学与细胞工程专业，获博士学位；2012年8月-2013年5月在韩国忠南大学农业研究所从事博士后研究工作；2013年1月至今在长江大学农学院工作；2016年11月-2017年2月在韩国忠南大学分子植物病理实验室进行访问研究。
■ 主要研究领域
链格孢属系统学：结合形态学和分子系统学方法研究链格孢菌种类多样性和种间系统发育关系。此外，还利用分子生物学方法研究链格孢菌的致病机制。
植物病原真菌学：利用形态学、多基因位点序列分析和致病性检测，对植物病害病原进行鉴定（如：湖北秭归脐橙、兴山核桃和武穴佛手山药等真菌病原的系统研究）。
生物多样性：从事外来入侵物种调查；从事大型真菌资源调查，挖掘有益的侧耳真菌内生细菌资源；从事植物内生真菌和细菌多样性研究，筛选生防菌株。

承担本科生《普通植物病理学》、《微生物学》等课程。
承担研究生《真菌学》、《植物病原真菌学》等课程。
基于植物病害标本学生库建设的实践教学改革（2022265），湖北省教育厅，主持。
植物保护专业生物农药与生物肥料产业班实践教学模式研究（JY2016014），校级重点，主持。
